Welcome to my Swim for MS!
My name is Samantha and I was diagnosed with MS on April 27, 2016. MS has taken so much from me, including my mobility. Luckily, swimming is the one thing I've been able to hold on to. When I am in the water, it is the only time I am able to feel like my old self again. Even if it is just for a moment, that moment is glorious.
For my birthday I am challenging myself to swim 1000 meters every day for 30 days. I'm hoping to raise $1000 for MSAA. I Swim for MS not just because I love to swim, but because I can't even walk 3 feet without assistance...it is a stark reminder for me that there are many MS patients out there that need help, and MSAA has programs that can do just that.
Thank you for your support!
I am diving into action to help raise awareness and funds to support individuals with multiple sclerosis by participating in an exciting fundraiser known as Swim for MS.
I am joining volunteers all across the country to organize my own swim activity. Funds raised support the many vital programs and services offered by the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.
Please consider supporting my Swim for MS and making a difference in the lives of people with MS.
