In her Olympic debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Missy Franklin, MSAA’s Swim for MS Ambassador, won a total of five medals -- four of which were gold and one bronze. One of her many highlights in London included sweeping the women's backstroke events, winning gold in both the 100-meter and 200-meter finals.
"Swim for MS provides an individual or group the opportunity to combine one's love of swimming with giving back to the community," states Franklin. "Start your Swim for MS campaign today and make a difference!"
Swim for MS is MSAA's signature fundraising event in which volunteers are encouraged to create their own swimming activity or challenge while collecting pledges and online donations toward their goal.
Swim for MS is a great way for people to honor someone in their life with MS, to earn volunteer service hours, or simply to do something extremely worthwhile to help the MS community.
Whether you are swimming laps or splashing around the backyard pool, we encourage everyone to get into the pool and start a Swim for MS campaign today!
