Swim for MS News - October 2017
Meet team Phi Swimma Kappa who is representing the Phi Sigma Kappa chapter at Georgia Tech Institute of Technology. The fraternity decided to put their skills to use and raise awareness for MS in their community by teaming up with MSAA’s Swim for MS fundraiser. All of the fraternity brothers set their own personal goals, tailored to each brother’s swimming experience. Even those who don’t have a lot of swimming experience are using this opportunity to receive lessons from the other members. Team Captain Nick Loprinzo says, “Participating in this event will definitely bring our chapter closer together as we continue to raise awareness in our community about MS.”
Team work makes the dream work! Form your own team by getting your friends together to start your own Swim for MS fundraiser.

Meet Team MSAA
Meet John, who ran for Team MSAA at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Philly Half Marathon this past September, in honor of his grandmother. John joined his high school cross country team and has been running ever since. After learning that he could run and fundraise for the MS community, he knew that joining Team MSAA was a perfect fit for him.
John’s grandmother lives with MS and he is her primary caretaker. Caring for his grandmother has played a significant role in his life, and it has inspired him to pursue a career in the medical field.
Do you know anyone who loves the thrill of crossing the finish line at a big race? Join Team MSAA as we run in different endurance events across the nation! To learn more about Team MSAA, please visit support.mymsaa.org/TeamMSAA
